Find a screen
Use this page to find the screen for a task. The main menu is on the left side of the application. After you sign in, the application opens Overview, the start page with a map of your facilities.
Common tasks
Find your task in the left column. Then open the menu item in the right column.
| I want to | Open |
|---|---|
| See the status of my facilities | Overview or Facilities |
| Watch live values of one emission source | Process views |
| Respond to an alarm | Alarms |
| Look at a trend | Data Explorer |
| Make a compliance report | Reports |
| Make a document with several report sections | Composed reports |
| Find gaps in the data | Data Coverage |
| Change a fuel composition | Fuels |
| Calibrate a model | Calibration workflows |
| Ask a question about my data | Ask PEMS |
The sections below list every menu item and the role that can open it.
How the menu is organised
The menu has six groups and a Settings item at the bottom. The groups follow the work that people do:
- Operations: watch the plant now.
- Data & reporting: look at data from the past and make reports.
- Assurance & forecasting: check that the data and the models are good, and look ahead.
- Platform configuration: set up tags, fuels, units and templates.
- Models & calibration: set up and calibrate the emission models.
- Platform operations: keep the system running.
The menu shows only the pages that your role can open. The four roles are User, SuperUser, Admin and SuperAdmin. Each role can open all the pages of the roles before it in this list. If a group has no page for your role, the menu does not show the group.
Some pages are part of a module. The menu shows such a page only when your administrator has turned on the module. The tables below say which pages need a module.
The menu labels are short. Some screens show a longer title. Where the two are different, the tables give the screen title in brackets.

Data & reporting
Use these pages to look at stored data and to make reports.
| Menu item | What it is for | Who can open it |
|---|---|---|
| Data Explorer | Plot and compare measured and calculated values over a period. See Data Explorer. | All roles |
| Reports (Reporting) | Make reports from report templates. From this page you also open templates, labels and scheduled reports. See Generate a report. | All roles |
| Composed reports | Open reports that are built from several parts. Saved reports can show below this item in the menu. Composed reports module only. | All roles |
| Operating Conditions | Define the operating conditions that emission limits and OTNOC settings use. | SuperAdmin |
Scheduled reports are part of a module. Admin and up can edit report templates and make a batch export.
Assurance & forecasting
Use these pages to check the quality of the data and the models, and to estimate future emissions.
| Menu item | What it is for | Who can open it |
|---|---|---|
| Data Coverage (Coverage) | Find the gaps in the stored data and see their cause. | All roles |
| Model Integrity | Run tests that check that a model still gives correct results. | SuperUser and up |
| Emissions Forecast | Estimate future emissions. Emissions forecast module only. | SuperUser and up |
| Dispersion | Calculate how emissions spread in the air. Dispersion module only. | SuperUser and up |
Platform configuration
Use these pages to set up the data that all other pages use.
| Menu item | What it is for | Who can open it |
|---|---|---|
| Tags & data sources (Tag Configuration) | Connect the tags of an emission source to their data sources. | SuperAdmin |
| Metric templates (Metric template) | Define the sets of values that show together on summary pages. | Admin and up |
| Fuels (Fuel Manager) | Keep the fuels and their composition analyses. See Fuel Manager. | All roles can see the list. SuperUser and up can open and edit a fuel. |
| Units (Unit Manager) | Keep the unit groups and the units in each group. | Admin and up |
| Process view templates | Make the diagrams that the process views show. | Admin and up |
| Page configuration (WebPage configuration) | Set the banners that show on application pages. | SuperAdmin |
Models & calibration
Use these pages to set up the emission models and to calibrate and validate them. All pages in this group are for SuperAdmin only.

|---|---|
| Data Upload | Upload data files into the system. |
| Models (Model Manager) | Make and edit the calculation models of the emission sources. See Model Manager. |
| Data pipelines (Pipeline Manager) | Set up the pipelines that run the models, and run batch runs. See Pipeline Manager. |
| Calibration workflows (Workflow Manager) | Run the measurement, calibration, validation and uncalibration workflows. See Workflow Manager. |
